Worse, I sucked my thumb until I was around 11 or 12 and my hubby sucked his until around 8 or 9, so I think we might be in trouble trying to get them to quit. to give it to him after feeds (if he stopped drinking by himself) to keep from overfilling him, and it actually helps with the cramps, but he doesnt want to play that way. As I was writing this post, I asked my husband to help remind me of things I suck at... its hard to give up the thumb in times when you are tired or in need of comforting
